Sol Spray Season!

Summer is officially in full swing and it’s hot here in Northeast, FL! Not sure about y’all, but for us, we love to soak up as much vitamin D as we can this time of year! Even though we use plenty of all natural sunscreen and wear our sun hats, we still get a little too much sun some days. After we have our fun in the sun, we want to use the best products possible to help soothe and heal our skin.

We created Sol Spray in the spring of 2018 as an ultra skin healing, organic, after-sun spray for our friends, family, and ourselves. This natural blend of herbs, solar infused oils, and hydrosols are handmade with love in small batches on the beautiful Amelia Island. We always strive to use only the highest quality, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Are you a sun and vitamin D lover too? Need something to help soothe your sunburn and leave your skin feeling cool and hydrated? Just look for one of our bottles of Sol Spray! It will nourish your sun-kissed skin after a day full of surfing, paddle boarding, chillin’ at the beach, or hiking the parks. Sol Spray is not only healing for your skin, but the dreamy smell will help you feel relaxed! Where can you find our best selling product? We’ve got you covered. Shop for it here on our website or join us on one of our yoga and surf adventures! You can also find it at our favorite Amelia Island surf shop, Driftwood.

Whether you choose to use one of our natural products or look into other products, make sure you read ingredient labels. There are many harmful chemicals hidden in sun-care products and other various skincare products that have been shown to lead to conditions such as: hormone imbalances, cancer, dementia, and toxicity in the body. They can also cause damage to our environment, plants and animals that we share this planet with, and our ever so precious oceans.

Here are a list of chemicals to watch out for in your sun and skin care products:

  • DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), TEA (Triethanolamine).

  • Phthalates and Parabens.

  • FD&C Color Pigments.

  • Fragrances.

  • Imidazolidinyl Urea & DMDM Hydantoin.

  • Isopropyl Alcohol.

  • Mineral Oil.

  • Propylene Glycol.

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

  • Triclosan.

  • Talc.

  • Petrolatum.

  • Lead, Titanium, Zirconium, Benzalkonium, Bismuth, Antimony (*1), Barium (*2), Aluminum, Tin, Chromium, Benzene & PCBs.

Please take a couple of extra seconds to read those labels so that you can better protect your body and our planet from toxic chemicals. Every little bit counts, and every effort we make can make a giant impact.

With love,

Meghan & Brandi
